Getting started
How do I get a price?
Call 778-594-1972 or send the form. We walk the job with you, then write a work order with the scope, exclusions, price and dates.
What areas do you work in?
Kelowna first: Lower and Upper Mission, Kettle Valley, South Pandosy, Glenmore, Rutland, Black Mountain, Dilworth, Wilden and the rest of the city. Elsewhere in the Okanagan, ask.
What work do you take on?
Renovations, additions, secondary suites, decks and exterior work, and project management for owners who want one person running the trades.
Where are you based?
2011 Benvoulin Court, Kelowna, BC V1W 2C7.
Price and paperwork
Is the price fixed?
The price in the work order is the price for the scope in the work order. If the scope changes, the change is priced and signed before it is built.
What happens if something unexpected comes up?
We stop that item, show you, and write a change order. You decide before any extra work is done.
How do payments work?
What is paid, and when, is written in your work order before you sign. Where the Builders Lien Act applies, the 10% holdback is handled by its rules.
Who pulls the permits?
Each permit is named in the work order with who applies for it. Permitted work does not start until the permit is issued.
On the site
Who will be working on my property?
Our crew and the subcontractors named in the work order. Every trade signs our agreement and gives us a WorkSafeBC clearance letter before starting.
What are the site rules?
Zero impairment while working, a site safety plan, protective equipment, and anyone can refuse unsafe work.
How do I know what was delivered?
Materials are counted against a register at delivery. Shortages and damage are written down, and extras need written approval.
Finishing
How do you finish a job?
A walk-through, a written deficiency list with a deadline for each item, the inspections the permit requires, and a final account within 15 business days.
Is the work warrantied?
The workmanship warranty is written into your work order before you sign it.
